Revision Tips for Key Stage Three Science
These are some tips that will help to make the most of your precious
time spent revising:
Don’t
û
Work for hours on end, if your
mind is tired you will not be so effective.
û
Just read your book. You
will feel good about the bits you know and turn off for the bits you don’t.
This is called passive revision.
û
Leave it all to the last
minute. The best revision is done when you are not under a great deal of
pressure.

Do
ü
Take regular breaks; don’t work for too long in one go.
ü
Do lots of questions (just
like the ones on this Website). It is by thinking
about the answers to questions that you will begin to connect together the bits
of science and realise which bits you don’t know and that you need to revise.
This is called active revision
ü
Practice with key stage
three past paper questions. It will be of great benefit to get use to the style
of questions on the real paper.

Wise Words
·
Revise one bit at a time
and get better at it.
·
Even if you never manage
to cover all of the material you will have improved.
·
Don’t see revision as a
mountain to climb but as a series of small hills to walk over.
·
If
you revise well you won't need luck!
