The Station of the Cross

Begining in 2003, sculpturess Maris de Faykod has been carving a new set of stations for the domaine at Lourdes. These idea behind the new stations is to create a way of the cross which is acessable to the sick and handicapped. Several of the sculptures are already in place, and the mising stations are marked by photographs of pre-production models. The project is due to be completed in 2008, to mark the 150th anniversary of the Appearances of the Blessed Virgin to Bernadette Soubirous. more information about the stations at www.defaykod-lourdes.com
