The Trust Mass
The Trust Mass is one of the highlights of the HCPT week. On Thursday Morning we processed through the streets of Lourdes to the huge Underground Basilica where we celebrated Mass led by The West Indies Group with the whole of HCPT. It was a remarkable experience and gave us a taste of the true sense of celebrating together in Faith. After lunch and our 'official' group photograph we had the opportunity to visit the baths, a slightly daunting but very moving experience. The mountain spring water was every bit as cold as you would expect, we were guided through the process by helpers inside the baths who were very gentle and patient. This can be a deeply personal and reflective experience and bring a real sense of physical and emotional renewal. An excellent preparation one would think for the football match against group 177 which followed on the meadow….. The score line is a sworn secret.
