The Candlelight Procession
The Candlelight Procession was held on Tuesday evening. It was the first outing for our Group 111 banner, and we were mightily glad of its distinctiveness and scale as it helped to keep our group together in the snaking procession as it zig zagged across the square in front of St Peter's Basilica and then guided us to a meeting point on the steps. The shear volume of people was staggering, the music was beautiful and very moving, based on the prayers of the rosary and ending with some rousing songs which had us all dancing.
