Providing real opportunities for research. Providing real situations to practise skills. Providing real audiences to communicate with.

Can global education improve learning?	Learning about real places and communicating with a real audience gives work more meaning and purpose. Learning with purpose improves motivation. Motivated learning improves progress.
Where in the curriculum does it fit?	Surveys Analysing statistics (e.g. weather) Environmental issues (water, energy, trees etc.) Current affairs Exchange of culture through art, dance, music and drama Every day life Physical geography (rivers, mountains, weather) Moral and ethical issues (rights, beliefs, family life) Any work requiring a sense of audience ICT skills: researching internet, creating presentations, communicating to a real audience International organisations (UN, EU and Commonwealth)
